IZAK Scientific is proud to introduce the pinnacle of LWIR laser measurement technology: our Long Wave Infrared (LWIR) Laser Beam Profiler. Engineered with precision for the 8000 nm to 14000 nm spectral range, this compact and powerful tool is your key to unlocking unparalleled accuracy and efficiency in laser applications.

Compact Design for Versatile Integration:

Wide Sensor: 10mm (0.3MP) or 20mm (1.3MP) sensor diameter for beams up to 20mm size. For wider beams we do have other solutions.

Dimensions: With a sleek profile of just 70mm x 70mm x 90mm, our LWIR Laser Beam Profiler is designed to fit into a wide range of setups without compromising on space or performance.

Power Supply: Accompanied by a reliable power supply, ensuring consistent performance and easy integration into your existing systems.

Advanced Real-Time Laser Beam Analysis:

Our profiler isn’t just about measuring; it’s about enhancing your laser application’s precision in real time. The dedicated application software performs comprehensive analysis within the Region of Interest (ROI), delivering critical beam properties instantly:

  • Beam Center: Precisely calculates the X and Y positions of the beam’s center, allowing for accurate alignment and positioning.
  • Beam Width: Measures the major and minor ellipse axes, providing detailed information on beam spread and focus.
  • Azimuth Angle: Determines the orientation of the beam ellipse, essential for applications requiring precise directional control.
  • Ellipticity: Calculates the beam’s ellipticity, offering insights into beam shape and quality.
  • Beam Size: Comprehensive measurement of the beam’s overall dimensions for thorough analysis.
  • ROI Size: Customizable ROI size selection for focused analysis on areas of interest.

Key Features at a Glance:

  • Spectral Range Mastery: Tailored for 8000 nm to 14000 nm, ideal for a variety of LWIR applications.
  • Enhanced Beam Analysis: Accommodates beams up to 20mm in diameter in free space or with wider beams with additional optical setups, contact us for details.
  • High Dynamic Range: 16-bit dynamic range captures detailed intensity nuances.
  • Precision Triggering: For synchronized measurements at the precise moment.
  • Superior Resolution and Speed: 12µm pixel pitch, 0.3MP or 1.3MP resolution and 50Hz frame rate.

Example usages:

Beam Profile of CO2 Lasers: These lasers usually operate at a wavelength of around 10600 nm, well within the LWIR profiler’s capabilities. They are commonly used for cutting, welding, and marking applications as well as for medical device as a tissue scalpel.

Cascade and OPO Lasers: Optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) and cascading nonlinear processes in certain crystals can produce light in the LWIR range that can be analyzed by the LWIR profiler.

It’s important to note that while the LWIR profiler is capable of measuring lasers within the specified spectral range, the actual lasers used must be compatible with the profiler’s measurement capacity, specifically in terms of power levels and beam diameters. Proper attenuation and beam handling accessories might be required to adapt higher power or larger beam diameter lasers to the profiler’s specifications.
