We were involved from the very beginning with this project. In short, the work included the following:
Choosing an appropriate Xenon lamp for the product – performing a comprehensive measurement with different Xenon lamps
A comprehensive measurement of competitor products
Optimization of the operation modes – comprehensive measurements in different settings in order to choose the most suitable modes for different skin types. We took into account a lot of physical figures such as spectrum, energy, power, warming, lamp lifetime, light tissue interaction, and more, as a function of:
Different pulse shapes in different pulsed widths
Different electronic configurations – different voltages and currents
Frontal meeting and conference call with the R&D department of Excelitas in order to develop a customized Xenon lamp according to your specifications
Choosing the most suitable spectral filter and performing measurements
Measuring the temperature on external electric components and other components in different regions of the product
Building a setup and writing a software application for the product lifetime test, including sensing components that are at risk
In general the work includes building test setups, reviewing and purchasing the required devices (spectrometer, filters, sensors, A/D, etc.), writing software applications in LabVIEW, executing measurements, analyzing the measurement results, exhibiting results and writing a work plan for the next step, and so on and so forth.
